Day 3- Amsterdam

by Zack on August 6, 2010

Nothing is coincidence.

I partook in a Jewish ritual yesterday called teffilin, where you tie a box with a prayer inside to your arm and head. You do it to put G-D close to your heart and mind.

Two young, aspiring rabbi’s came up to Zack and I as we were going to enter the Jewish Museum in Amsterdam. They came up to us and asked if we wanted to do it as a mizvah or good deed to the world. I accepted and told them that it was them doing a mizvah, because they were going to let me experience this ritual while on this spiritual journey of mine.

They only came up to us and asked if we wanted to do it, no one else. They were also gone when we came out of the museum an hour later and it was if they were there only to meet us.

This event and this entire journey has made me think that almost nothing in life is coincidence, it all happens for a reason and it happens that way because what you have done in your life and how you have put yourself out to the world.
